Gresik, XposeTv.live – Menteri Pertanian Republik Indonesia (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman mengapresiasi produksi dan serapan gabah yang baik di Kabupaten Gresik, 14 Maret 2025.
Hal itu disampaikan Mentan Amran saat menghadiri panen raya padi dan serap gabah di Desa Sirnoboyo, Kecamatan Benjeng, Kabupaten Gresik, pada Jumat (14/3). Turut hadir dalam acara tersebut Bupati Gresik Fandi Akhmad Yani, Wakil Menteri Pertanian Sudaryono, Wakil Menteri Perdagangan Dyah Roro Esti, Pangdam V Brawijaya Mayjen TNI Rudy Saladin, serta jajaran Forkopimda Jawa Timur dan Gresik.
Pada kesempatan itu, Mentan Amran secara simbolis memanen padi menggunakan alsintan combine harvester serta menyaksikan transaksi penjualan gabah dari petani kepada Bulog dengan harga Rp 6.500 per kilogram, lebih tinggi dari harga sebelumnya yang hanya Rp 6.000 per kilogram.
“Biasanya dijual Rp 6.000, sekarang menjadi Rp 6.500. Hal ini merupakan arahan dari Presiden untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani, daya beli konsumen, serta kesejahteraan para pengusaha. Tujuan negara memang seharusnya seperti ini, semua tersenyum bahagia,” ujar Mentan Amran.
Dalam sambutannya, Mentan Amran juga menyoroti situasi ketahanan pangan global, terutama di negara-negara seperti Malaysia, Filipina, dan Jepang, yang saat ini mengalami krisis pangan.
“Saat ini di Jepang, harga beras hampir mencapai Rp 86 ribu dan bahkan menuju Rp 100 ribu per kilogram. Oleh karena itu, saya mengucapkan terima kasih karena Indonesia berhasil meningkatkan produktivitas. Mari kita terus bergandengan tangan,” ujarnya.
Mentan Amran juga mengapresiasi hasil panen di Kabupaten Gresik yang dinilai sangat baik, dengan produktivitas mencapai 8-9 ton gabah kering panen per hektare.
“Kabupaten Gresik patut dibanggakan, hasil panennya sangat memuaskan,” tuturnya.
Dalam sesi tanya jawab, seorang warga yang mewakili petani menyampaikan apresiasi atas harga gabah yang telah ditetapkan sebesar Rp 6.500 per kilogram. Namun, ia juga berharap harga tersebut dapat terus dikawal agar benar-benar diterima oleh para petani.
Selain itu, ia mengungkapkan keluhan mengenai banjir yang kerap melanda wilayah mereka akibat luapan Kali Lamong.
“Daerah kami ini berhimpitan dengan Kali Lamong. Setiap minggu, kami mengalami kebanjiran dua kali. Meskipun pemerintah daerah sudah berupaya, kondisi di Kali Lamong sebelah selatan masih sering banjir. Kami berharap ada penanggulangan serius agar air tidak terus meluber,” ujar warga tersebut.
Tak hanya saat musim hujan, permasalahan juga muncul saat musim kemarau, di mana air dari Kali Lamong sering kali mengering sehingga tidak dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pertanian.
“Kami berharap pemerintah dapat membangun dam karet agar saat musim kemarau, air dapat disimpan sebagai cadangan. Selain itu, kami juga mohon bantuan untuk bibit padi,” tambahnya.
Menanggapi hal tersebut, Bupati Gresik Fandi Akhmad Yani menjelaskan bahwa wilayah tersebut memiliki lahan tadah hujan seluas sekitar 195 hektare.
Di sisi lain, wilayah ini juga berdekatan dengan Sungai Kali Lamong, yang kerap meluap saat musim hujan dan mengakibatkan banjir, sementara di musim kemarau, lahan menjadi kering.
“Kami sudah membangun kolam retensi di kecamatan lain. Tujuannya adalah untuk pengendalian banjir dan menyediakan cadangan air agar saat musim kemarau, air dari tadah hujan dapat dialirkan,” tutup Bupati Fandi Akhmad Yani.
