Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum (PU) terus mempercepat langkah penanganan dampak bencana banjir dan tanah longsor yang melanda Kota Sibolga, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Dalam upaya tanggap darurat ini, Kementerian PU memfokuskan pekerjaan pada pembukaan kembali akses jalan nasional, pengendalian aliran sungai guna mencegah dampak lanjutan, serta penyediaan prasarana air bersih dan sanitasi bagi warga terdampak.
Menteri Pekerjaan Umum, Dody Hanggodo, menegaskan bahwa pemulihan konektivitas menjadi prioritas utama pascabencana di wilayah Sumatera, khususnya di Sibolga. Menurutnya, pemulihan akses jalan sangat penting untuk memperlancar bantuan dan aktivitas warga.
“Kementerian PU terus berusaha agar akses ini kembali fungsional secepat mungkin. Jalan dan jembatan merupakan urat nadi pergerakan masyarakat dan distribusi logistik,” ujar Menteri Dody.
Di lapangan, Balai Besar Pelaksanaan Jalan Nasional (BBPJN) Sumatera Utara bekerja sama dengan BBWS Sumatera II Medan, sejumlah BUMN Karya, dan TNI melakukan penanganan intensif pada ruas jalan nasional Tarutung–Sibolga.
Guna mempercepat pembersihan material longsoran dan perbaikan badan jalan, tim gabungan telah mengerahkan alat berat yang terdiri dari 14 unit excavator, 1 unit dozer, 2 unit backhoe loader, dan 3 unit wheel loader.
Hingga saat ini, upaya tersebut membuahkan hasil positif. Dari total panjang ruas Tarutung–Sibolga sejauh 59 km, Kementerian PU telah menyelesaikan penanganan di 131 titik longsor. Hasilnya, jalur Tarutung–Batas Tapanuli Utara (Taput)/Tapanuli Tengah (Tapteng) sepanjang 42 km kini sudah dapat dilalui oleh kendaraan roda empat.
Sementara itu, sisa ruas jalan sepanjang 17 km masih dalam proses penanganan bertahap, baik dari arah Tarutung maupun arah Sibolga. Tim di lapangan terus bekerja keras menangani 7 titik longsor atau jalan ambles yang tersisa di segmen tersebut.
Selain pemulihan jalan, Kementerian PU melalui Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai (BBWS) Sumatera II Medan juga bergerak melakukan penanganan darurat di Sungai Aek Doras, Kota Sibolga. Hal ini dilakukan untuk meminimalkan risiko banjir susulan. Pekerjaan fisik didukung oleh alat berat berupa 1 unit excavator long arm, 1 unit excavator standar, serta beberapa dump truck, dengan bantuan personel dari BUMN Karya (Nindya Karya, WIKA) dan Dinas PU Kota Sibolga.
Tak luput, Kementerian PU juga menyalurkan sejumlah kebutuhan dasar bagi para pengungsi dan petugas di lapangan. Melalui Balai Penataan Bangunan, Prasarana, dan Kawasan (BPBPK) Sumatera Utara, Kementerian PU telah menyalurkan dukungan logistik dan fasilitas sanitasi. Bantuan tersebut berupa 13 unit Hidran Umum (HU), 1 unit mobil tangki air, 1 unit biofilter, serta 2 unit toilet portabel untuk memastikan ketersediaan air bersih dan sanitasi yang layak.
Kementerian PU berkomitmen untuk terus hadir di tengah masyarakat terdampak bencana. Fokus utama tetap pada memastikan konektivitas jalan nasional agar segera pulih total, optimalisasi pengendalian sungai, serta pemenuhan infrastruktur dasar demi mempercepat pemulihan aktivitas warga dan bangkitnya kembali perekonomian daerah di jalur Tarutung–Batas Taput/Tapteng.
Program kerja ini merupakan bagian dari “Setahun Bekerja, Bergerak – Berdampak” dalam menjalankan ASTA CITA dari Presiden Prabowo Subianto.
