Selain itu para pemudik juga mendapat berbagai fasilitas di dalam bus seperti snack, minuman dan makanan sebagai bekal di perjalanan. Rombongan bus tersebut mendapat pengawalan dari Polres Kediri Kota yang dimaksudkan untuk mempercepat laju perjalanan.

Dalam kesempatan ini Kapolres Kediri Kota AKBP Teddy Candra,S.I.K., M.Si mengatakan Polres Kediri Kota memfasilitasi warga yang ingin kembali ke ibukota dengan naik angkutan umum bus. “Ada 2 bus yang dipesan dan diberangkatkan. Jadi ini balik gratis dari Polres Kediri Kota dengan tujuan ibukota Jakarta,” dan titik kumpul pemberangkatan (start) ada di Mako Sat Lantas Polres Kediri Kota, ujar dia.

“Kami diperintahkan Bapak Kapolri dan Bapak Kapolda Jatim untuk membantu masyarakat yang berkeinginan untuk mudik maupun balik. Ini beberapa kali sudah kami lakukan, tujuannya Jakarta,” terangnya kepada wartawan di lokasi

AKBP Teddy menjelaskan para pemudik lebih dulu dicek kesehatannya sebelum berangkat. Pemeriksaan kesehatan ini untuk memastikan kondisi mereka sehat dan siap untuk melakukan perjalanan jauh ke perantauan.

Fasilitas balik gratis ini juga untuk mengurangi volume kendaraan di jalan dan risiko kecelakaan bagi pemudik. “Ini juga bisa mengurangi penggunaan kendaraan pribadi, sehingga menjamin keselamatan lebih masif,” jelasnya.

Harapannya semoga mereka tiba sampai kota tujuan atau tempat tinggal mereka di ibukota dengan selamat dan bisa kembali beraktivitas dan bekerja untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga, terang AKBP Teddy

Dia mengatakan setelah beberapa hari berada di kampung halaman, bersilaturahim bersama orang tua, saudara atau famili, kini tibalah saatnya untuk kembali ke perantauan melakukan aktifitas dan rutinitas kegiatan sebelumnya, baik itu bekerja atau menuntut ilmu.

Sementara itu ditempat yang sama program balik gratis Polresta Kediri ini mendapatkan apresiasi dari masyarakat. Seperti yang disampaikan Yanwar Andri (34), warga Kelurahan Jamsaren Kota Kediri.

Ia mengaku terbantu dengan adanya bus yang disediakan Polresta Kediri . Sehingga ia bisa balik ke Jakarta secara gratis.

“Dari Kediri tujuan mau ke Jakarta, ini balik habis mudik. Bagi kami sangat membantu ya, karena bus semuanya penuh. Dengan bus gratis ini kami senang sekali,” tuturnya.

Yanwar berharap, program serupa bisa terulang pada musim mudik tahun depan. “Harapannya untuk di tahun-tahun selanjutnya semoga ada yang seperti ini lagi. Sukses selalu untuk Polresta Kediri ,” tandasnya.
