Fandi Akhmad Yanis saat membuka penanaman padi bersama dalam program Jaksa Sahabat Tani. Program ini digelar di Desa Tambakrejo, Kecamatan Duduksampeyan, Kabupaten Gresik, Rabu (8/1/2025).
Program Jaksa Sahabat Tani ini menunjukkan sinergi lintas sektor dalam memperkuat ketahanan pangan sekaligus mengoptimalkan teknologi modern untuk para petani.
Selain jajaran Pemkab Gresik, program ini melibatkan berbagai pihak. Di antaranya Kepala Kejati Jawa Timur, Mia Amiati; Kepala Kejaksaan Negeri Gresik, Nana Riana; Direktur Utama Petrokimia Gresik, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo; para kepala desa dari Kecamatan Duduksampeyan; kelompok tani; serta tamu undangan lainnya.
Lebih lanjut Bupati Gresik menyoroti peran penting sektor pertanian di tengah geliat industri di wilayahnya. Gresik dikenal sebagai kota industri, tetapi masih memiliki sekitar 39.000 hektare lahan sawah yang terus dijaga. Ketahanan pangan sangat penting bagi Gresik.
“Bahkan, luas lahan sawah di Gresik bertambah, termasuk di Pulau Bawean yang kini memiliki sekitar 4.000 hektare sawah yang bisa dioptimalkan,” ujar Bupati Yani.
Usai pembukaan acara dilanjutkan dengan penyerahan bantuan berupa benih unggul, pupuk, dan peralatan pertanian. Penanaman padi secara simbolis dilakukan dengan alat modern transplanter. Kegiatan ini memperkenalkan teknologi pertanian terkini untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas lahan.
Di tempat yang sama, Kepala Kejati Jawa Timur, Mia Amiati, mengapresiasi kolaborasi berbagai pihak dalam menghadapi tantangan sektor pertanian.
“Kegiatan ini merupakan wujud nyata komitmen kami mendukung program Asta Cita Presiden Republik Indonesia terkait ketahanan pangan. Para petani menghadapi tantangan mulai dari akses teknologi hingga pemasaran. Untuk itu, sinergi antara pemerintah, lembaga penegak hukum, dan masyarakat sangat diperlukan,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu Direktur Utama Petrokimia Gresik, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, menambahkan bahwa keberlanjutan ketahanan pangan di Gresik juga didukung oleh peran industri, termasuk penyediaan pupuk dan sarana produksi pertanian yang berkualitas. “Kami berkomitmen membantu petani Gresik melalui inovasi dan pendampingan agar hasil panen lebih optimal,” ujarnya.
Acara ini juga menjadi momen penting untuk menyampaikan rencana perluasan area tanam di beberapa wilayah di Kabupaten Gresik, termasuk di Pulau Bawean. Langkah ini diproyeksikan mampu meningkatkan kontribusi Gresik terhadap kebutuhan pangan nasional.
Program ini menjadi bukti nyata bahwa Kabupaten Gresik tidak hanya unggul di sektor industri, tetapi juga terus menjaga komitmennya sebagai penopang ketahanan pangan nasional. (sin)
