Jakarta, XPOSETV – Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo dan Menteri Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding menegaskan komitmen bersama dalam memberikan perlindungan maksimal kepada pekerja migran Indonesia, khususnya yang berangkat ke luar negeri secara unprosedural. Sinergi ini disampaikan saat doorstop setelah audiensi di Mabes Polri, Kamis (9/1).
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Kapolri menyampaikan dukungan penuh terhadap rencana pembentukan desk khusus atau satuan tugas (Satgas) Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang (TPPO) yang digagas Kementerian P2MI. Langkah ini bertujuan untuk memberantas praktik ilegal dan melindungi hak-hak pekerja migran.
“Kami sangat mendukung tindak lanjut pembentukan desk atau Satgas TPPO. Ini adalah bagian dari upaya negara untuk melindungi masyarakat kita yang berangkat secara ilegal dan rentan menjadi korban sindikat perdagangan orang,” ujar Jenderal Listyo Sigit.
Kapolri juga menekankan pentingnya langkah terpadu yang meliputi penindakan hukum terhadap oknum-oknum yang terlibat, upaya preventif, serta kerjasama lintas kementerian. Selain itu, Polri berkomitmen untuk menerima laporan dan pengaduan masyarakat melalui desk khusus yang akan dibentuk.
“Kami akan meningkatkan kerjasama melalui pencegahan dan penegakan hukum. Langkah pertama adalah penindakan terhadap oknum, kemudian perbaikan sistem, serta membantu masyarakat yang terjebak dalam sindikat atau jalur unprosedural,” tegasnya.
Senada dengan Kapolri, Menteri P2MI Abdul Kadir Karding menyoroti data yang menunjukkan bahwa 90% pekerja migran yang mengalami eksploitasi dan ketidakadilan merupakan mereka yang berangkat secara unprosedural. Oleh karena itu, ia meminta dukungan Polri untuk menekan angka tersebut.
“Mayoritas kasus eksploitasi, overcharging, bahkan human trafficking terjadi pada pekerja migran yang berangkat unprosedural. Kami berharap Polri membantu membongkar sindikat yang bermain di balik ini,” kata Abdul Kadir Karding.
Menteri P2MI juga mengungkapkan bahwa desk khusus yang akan dibentuk nantinya akan menangani pengaduan dan evaluasi secara intensif. Ia optimistis kerjasama ini akan memberikan dampak signifikan dalam melindungi pekerja migran Indonesia.
“Ini momen penting. Saya merasa hari ini seperti mendapatkan lailatul qadar. Apa yang kami butuhkan diterima dengan sangat baik oleh Polri,” ungkapnya.
Dengan adanya sinergi ini, diharapkan angka pekerja migran yang berangkat secara unprosedural dapat ditekan, dan perlindungan terhadap pekerja migran Indonesia di luar negeri semakin optimal.
