Kapolresta Gorontalo Kota Kombespol Dr. Ade Permana, S.I.K.,MH.,mengatakan bahwa Cap Go Meh yang merupakan puncak perayaan Imlek, memiliki potensi kerawanan yang dapat terjadi,mengingat tingkat keramaian masyarakat yang datang berkunjung atau ikut menyaksikan perayaan cukup padat.
Lebih lanjut KBP Ade menjelaskan ,sebanyak 100 personil Polresta dan 30 personil Polda Gorontalo disiagakan untuk mengamankan perayaan cap go meh agar pelaksanaan ini dapat berjalan lancar tanpa gangguan apapun.
“Kegiatan pengamanan ini adalah bentuk kesigapan Jajaran Polresta Gorontalo Kota dalam memberikan kenyamanan di setiap kegiatan masyarakat agar tidak terjadi gangguan Kamtibmas dan perayaan dapat berjalan lancar,aman dan kondusif,” Tegas Kapolresta.
