Xpose tv.Live, Sidoarjo – Menteri Koordinator/Mengko Bidang Pangan RI Zulkifli Hasan melakukan Kunjungan Kerja/Kunker ke Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Selasa, (7/1/25). Ia datang menemui para petani Sidoarjo di Desa Mlirip Rowo Kecamatan Tarik. Sebelumnya Zulkifli Hasan menyempatkan diri melihat perbaikan tanggul Dam Rolak Songo sisi Timur yang longsor. Kedatangan Zulkifli Hasan bersama Menteri Perdagangan RI Budi Santoso siang tadi didampingi Pj Gubernur Jawa TimurAdhy Karyono. Rombongan menteri disambut Plt. Bupati Sidoarjo H. Subandi bersama Kapolresta Sidoarjo Kombes Pol Christian Tobing.
Kehadiran Mengko Bidang Pangan RI Zulkifli Hasan disambut gembira para petani Sidoarjo yang sudah menunggunya di saluran irigasi sekunder Kemlaten Desa Mlirip Rowo. Mereka antusias menyampaikan uneg-unegnya saat Zulkifli Hasan datang. Mengko Bidang Pangan itu sengaja meminta para petani untuk menyampaikan keluh kesahnya sebagai petani. Dengan seksama ia dengarkan apa yang menjadi keluhan para petani di Sidoarjo. Salah satunya keluhan pasokan air persawahan.
“Kalau kendalanya masalah pasokan air, mulai hari ini pasokan air untuk kebutuhan mengairi sawah akan dimaksimalkan,” ucap Zulkifli.
Selain itu Menteri Koordinator/Mengko Bidang Pangan RI Zulkifli Hasan juga menyemangati para petani untuk ikut mewujudkan swasembada pangan nasional. Dikatakannya program swasembada pangan nasional menjadi program Presiden Prabowo saat ini. Dikatakannya pemerintah tengah melakukan perbaikan-perbaikan saluran irigasi pertanian. Bahkan pembangunan saluran irigasi baru juga akan dilakukan untuk mendukung swasembada pangan nasional. Termasuk saluran irigasi di Kabupaten Sidoarjo.
“Tahun ini akan optimalisasi atau direhabilitasi atau dibangun baru irigasi kita,”ujarnya.
Dalam kesempatan itu Zulkifli Hasan mengungkapkan tahun ini tidak ada impor beras yang dilakukan pemerintah. Pemerintah akan menyerap seluruh hasil gabah maupun beras petani tanah air. Untuk itu para petani diharapkan terus menghasilkan komoditas pertanian yang bagus. Pemerintah juga akan membeli hasil pertanian dari para petani dengan harga yang bagus. (@LW)
