XPOSE TV//Lombok Tengah, NTB – Kepolisian Resor Lombok Tengah mengimbau warga untuk tidak menggunakan mobil bak terbuka saat berkunjung ke lokasi wisata yang ada di kabupaten selama libur Natal dan Tahun Baru. Senin (30/12/2024).
Kapolres Lombok Tengah AKBP Iwan Hidayat, SIK melalui Kasat Lantas AKP Puteh Rinaldi, SIK di Praya, Senin (30/12) mengatakan mobil bak terbuka tidak peruntukan untuk membawa penumpang karena dapat membahayakan keselamatan.
Puteh menjelaskan dari segi desain mobil bak terbuka digunakan untuk angkutan barang, apabila digunakan untuk mengangkut orang dalam jumlah banyak sangat berbahaya sehingga rawan terjadi kecelakaan.
“Mobil bak terbuka juga tidak ada kelengkapan keamanan bagi para penumpang,” katanya.
la menegaskan, sesuai aturan, menggunakan mobil bak terbuka untuk mengangkut orang juga melanggar Pasal 137 ayat 4 Undang-Undang (UU) Nomor 22/2009 tentang Lalu Lintas Angkutan Jalan (LLAJ).
“Jadi sudah jelas, mobil bak terbuka diperuntukkan untuk barang bukan untuk mengangkut orang, dan mereka yang melanggar bisa saja dikenai sanksi tilang,” terangnya.
la menambahkan pihaknya akan terus memberikan sosialisasi tentang tertib berlalu lintas, salah satunya tentang larangan menggunakan mobil bak terbuka untuk mengangkut penumpang pada perayaan Nataru tahun ini.
“Personel di lapangan akan melakukan sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat untuk memastikan tidak ada lagi mobil bak terbuka yang digunakan untuk mengangkut penumpang, hal itu untuk mencegah terjadinya fatalitas kecelakaan lalu lintas,” tutupnya.
