PT Railink mencatat pertumbuhan signifikan jumlah penumpang sepanjang tahun 2025. Total penumpang KAI Bandara di wilayah operasional Medan dan Yogyakarta mencapai 6,9 juta total penumpang, meningkat dibandingkan tahun 2024 yang tercatat sebesar 5,8 juta penumpang atau tumbuh sekitar 20 persen (year on year).
Pertumbuhan ini mencerminkan meningkatnya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap layanan kereta api sebagai moda transportasi publik yang aman, nyaman, tepat waktu, dan terintegrasi dengan simpul transportasi lainnya, khususnya bandara.
Di wilayah Medan, jumlah pengguna KA Srilelawangsa pada tahun 2025 mencapai 4,1 juta penumpang, meningkat 33,4 persen dibandingkan tahun 2024 yang tercatat sebesar 3 juta penumpang. Pada tahun 2025, penumpang KA Srilelawangsa relasi Medan–Kualanamu mencapai 1,5 juta penumpang, sedangkan relasi Medan–Binjai–Kualabingai melayani 2,5 juta penumpang.
Sementara itu, pada tahun 2024, jumlah penumpang relasi Medan–Kualanamu tercatat sebanyak 706 ribu penumpang, dan relasi Medan–Binjai–Kualabingai sebesar 2,3 juta penumpang. Data ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan terutama pada relasi menuju Bandara Kualanamu, seiring meningkatnya mobilitas masyarakat dan pertumbuhan sektor penerbangan.
Di wilayah Yogyakarta, total pengguna Kereta Api Bandara YIA pada tahun 2025 tercatat sebanyak 2,8 juta penumpang, meningkat 4,9 persen dibandingkan tahun 2024 yang mencapai 2,7 juta penumpang. Dari total tersebut, layanan YIA Xpress pada tahun 2025 melayani 1 juta penumpang, tumbuh 8,5 persen dibandingkan tahun 2024 yang tercatat 944 ribu penumpang. Sementara layanan KAI Bandara YIA PSO melayani 1,8 juta penumpang pada tahun 2025, meningkat 3,1 persen dibandingkan tahun 2024 yang mencapai 1,7 juta penumpang.
Direktur Utama PT Railink, Porwanto Handry Nugroho, menyampaikan bahwa capaian tersebut merupakan hasil dari konsistensi perusahaan dalam menjaga keandalan operasional serta meningkatkan kualitas layanan kepada pelanggan.
“Pertumbuhan jumlah penumpang ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat semakin menjadikan KAI Bandara sebagai pilihan utama transportasi dari dan menuju bandara. Kami akan terus berkomitmen meningkatkan kualitas layanan, memperkuat integrasi antarmoda, serta menghadirkan inovasi yang berorientasi pada kenyamanan dan kebutuhan pelanggan,” ujar Porwanto.
Ke depan, PT Railink optimistis tren pertumbuhan ini akan terus berlanjut seiring dengan peningkatan mobilitas masyarakat, pengembangan layanan, serta dukungan terhadap sistem transportasi publik yang berkelanjutan di Indonesia.
