Sumbawa, NTB — Kodim 1607/Sumbawa menunjukkan komitmen nyata dalam mendukung program prioritas Pemerintah Kabupaten Sumbawa, Sumbawa Hijau Lestari melalui keikutsertaan aktif pada kegiatan Safari Sumbawa Menanam Putaran II, yang digelar pada Minggu, 21 Desember 2025.
Kegiatan tersebut dihadiri oleh Kasdim 1607/Sumbawa Mayor Inf Dahlan, S.Sos. beserta personel Kodim 1607/Sumbawa, mendampingi Bupati Sumbawa bersama jajaran Forkopimda, Forkopimca, ASN, TNI/Polri, serta seluruh elemen masyarakat Kecamatan Empang. Penanaman dilaksanakan di kawasan Bendungan Gapit, Desa Gapit, Kecamatan Empang, Kabupaten Sumbawa.
Adapun bibit yang ditanam merupakan bibit pohon agroforestry, meliputi pohon kemiri, alpukat, dan mente, yang memiliki nilai ekologis sekaligus nilai ekonomi bagi masyarakat. Program ini bertujuan menghijaukan lahan kritis di sekitar bendungan, menjaga kelestarian lingkungan, serta memastikan keberlanjutan ketersediaan sumber air Bendungan Gapit sebagai penopang kebutuhan pertanian dan kehidupan masyarakat sekitar.
Kasdim 1607/Sumbawa Mayor Inf Dahlan, S.Sos. menyampaikan bahwa keterlibatan TNI, khususnya Kodim 1607/Sumbawa, merupakan bentuk dukungan penuh terhadap program pemerintah daerah dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hidup. Menurutnya, kegiatan penghijauan tidak hanya berdampak pada aspek ekologi, tetapi juga memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat.
“Kodim 1607/Sumbawa siap mendukung dan mengawal setiap program strategis pemerintah daerah, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan pelestarian lingkungan dan ketahanan sumber daya alam. Penanaman ini diharapkan mampu menjaga kelangsungan air bendungan sekaligus meningkatkan nilai ekonomi masyarakat melalui tanaman produktif,” tegasnya.
Melalui kegiatan Safari Sumbawa Menanam ini, sinergi antara pemerintah daerah, TNI/Polri, dan masyarakat semakin diperkuat sebagai wujud kepedulian bersama dalam mewujudkan Kabupaten Sumbawa yang hijau, lestari, dan berkelanjutan.
