Sulut – XposeTV. Dua mantan pejabat Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Utara (Pemprov Sulut), Jeffry Korengkeng dan Fredy Kaligis, resmi ditahan oleh penyidik Polda Sulut pada Kamis (10/4/2025) dalam kasus dugaan korupsi dana hibah yang mengalir ke Sinode GMIM periode 2020–2023. Keduanya diduga terlibat dalam penyalahgunaan anggaran yang menyebabkan kerugian negara mencapai Rp8,9 miliar.
Jeffry Korengkeng, mantan Kepala Badan Keuangan dan Aset Daerah Sulut (2020), dan Fredy Kaligis, Kepala Biro Kesejahteraan Rakyat Sulut saat ini, menjalani pemeriksaan intensif oleh Subdit Tindak Pidana Korupsi (Tipidkor) Ditreskrimsus Polda Sulut. Usai proses pemeriksaan yang dimulai pukul 10.00 WITA, keduanya dipakaikan rompi tahanan oranye dan digiring ke ruang tahanan Mapolda Sulut. Sebelumnya, mereka sempat menjalani pemeriksaan kesehatan sekitar pukul 10.35 WITA.
Kasus ini menyeret lima tersangka, termasuk tiga pejabat lain: AGK (Asisten III Pemprov Sulut 2020–2021 dan Penjabat Sekprov 2022), SK (Sekprov Sulut sejak Desember 2022), serta HA (Ketua Badan Pekerja Majelis Sinode GMIM sejak 2018). Penyidik menduga dana hibah untuk program keagamaan dan kesejahteraan disalurkan melalui prosedur tidak sah selama empat tahun terakhir.
Polda Sulut masih mendalami aliran dana dan keterlibatan pihak lain, termasuk indikasi pencairan dana tanpa dasar hukum jelas. Meski belum ada keterangan resmi, sumber internal menyatakan penyidikan akan diperluas ke entitas yang diduga menerima atau memfasilitasi pencairan dana hibah ilegal.

Upaya penuntasan kasus ini menjadi sorotan publik, mengingat besarnya kerugian negara dan status para tersangka sebagai mantan dan petahana pejabat kunci di Sulut. Masyarakat berharap proses hukum berjalan transparan untuk mengembalikan kepercayaan terhadap tata kelola anggaran daerah. (JS)
